Deferring Admission With  F-1 Student Visa

This information is for international students wishing to attend Âé¶¹´«Ã½ on an F-1 student visa. If you are not planning to study on an F-1 student visa, please contact the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Admissions office directly for information about deferring your admission.

Undergraduate Students

  1. Contact the Undergraduate Admissions office at ksuadmit@kennesaw.edu regarding updating your admission to the new semester. Include the following information:
    1. Your name
    2. Âé¶¹´«Ã½ ID number
    3. The semester that you originally applied for
    4. The new semester that you wish to enter
  2. Notify the ISSS by submitting the "Defer I-20" e-form in  under the Admissions tab.

PLEASE NOTE:  An admissions application fee and new application may apply. Your I-20 can only be deferred once your admission update has been processed. Financial statements must be dated within 6 months of the issuance of your I-20. If you are deferring to a later semester, you may have to submit updated financial statements.

Graduate Students

  1. Complete the Graduate Admissions .
  2. Notify the ISSSO by submitting the "Defer I-20" e-form in iStart under the Admissions tab.

PLEASE NOTE: A new application and fee may be necessary. Your I-20 can only be deferred once your admission update has been processed. Financial statements must be dated within 6 months of the issuance of your I-20. If you are deferring to a later semester, you may have to submit updated financial statements.
